Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com ) - The Virginia Department of Emergency Management has an incident management team in Florida right now, helping the Florida Emergency Operations Center handle logistics. The Center is located in the panhandle, mostly away from Hurricane Ian.

VDEM Spokesman Jason Elmore says the department stands ready to provide other help if requested. He says there is enough staff here to handle any Virginia-related impacts from Hurricane Ian, which is expected to drop rain here this weekend.
