Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Virginia Department of Health has issued a statement of support from Commissioner Dr. Norman Oliver for President Joe Biden's Vaccine or testing mandates. Biden is looking to require companies with more than 100 employees to require vaccines or face additional testing.

Oliver says "it is imperative we do all we can to beat back this surge." He also points out many Virginia companies are already doing this, and the Commonwealth is requiring it as well. Currently, 58% of Virginia is fully vaccinated.

Several GOP Governors are threatening to challenge the Biden directive.
