Fredericksburg, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - VDOT Fredericksburg says it will likely take until June until they manage to clean all of the debris from the side of roads in the area. A spokeswoman says they ended up with 1.2 million cubic yards of debris from the storm January 3rd, which became infamous for tying up traffic on I-95 for over 24 hours.

VDOT says it is about 54% of the way through the debris. There is even some still remaining along the side of I-95. VDOT anticipates that will be finished in the next few weeks.

The information comes out just days after an independent report into the snow storm was released. The report recommended that VDOT do more direct communication with drivers, as well as more large scale planning of potential disasters.
