Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - In the aftermath of Tuesday’s storm, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) wants to make sure drivers know that a “Road Closed” sign means the road should not be used.

“A ‘Road Closed’ sign means the road is ... closed,” the Virginia Department of Transportation said on social media. “For your safety, do not move or drive around signs or barricades closing a road.”

VDOT urges drivers to visit 511virginia.org for road updates and to visit my.vdot.virginia.gov or call 800-FOR-ROAD to report road hazards.
