Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association says it is launching a new social media and radio campaign to try and get more people vaccinated. The campaign comes as there is a surge of cases both in the Commonwealth and nationally.
The campaign will stress that getting vaccinated will slow covid's spread. The VHHA says data shows fewer than one percent of fully vaccinated Virginians have had a breakthrough cases, and far fewer than that have been hospitalized or died. Meanwhile, nationally, 98% of the hospitilizations in June and July were among the unvaccinated.
Currently, 58% of Virginians are fully vaccinated.
