Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Virginia Lottery says there's a ticket worth $100,000 that still hasn't been claimed. The winning ticket, which was part of the Virginia Lottery's New Year's Millionaire Raffle, was purchased at a Wegman's in Chantilly, Va.
Five tickets won $1 million, and seven tickets won $100,000 in the January 1 drawing. However, one ticket is slated to become worthless if not claimed by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 30.
Whoever has the winning ticket should contact the Virginia Lottery or present the winning ticket at a Virginia Lottery Customer Service Center. Prize money that isn't claimed goes directly to the state's Literary Fund, which benefits K-12 education in the Commonwealth.
