Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - After a year off because of Covid-19, the Washington Football Team is coming back to Richmond for a training camp. Last year was supposed to be the last year of the contract with Washington, but Covid led the team to practice closer to home.
Unlike previous years, the training camp this year will only be a week long. It will run from July 27th through July 31st. Information on times for sessions, and passes, will come later.
The Richmond Times- Dispatch is reporting that Richmond will not be paying a $500,000 subsidy to the team this year. Instead, the team is paying to rent the facility near the Science Museum.
