Chesterfield County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Police in Chesterfield are investigating a homicide that happened Sunday evening.
Officers responded to a call for a disturbance on the 6400 block of Kings Crest Court, off Cogbill Road, at about 8:20 p.m. on Sunday. Once at the scene, officers found a woman inside the residence suffering from stab wounds.
She was taken to a hospital where she died from her injuries. At this time, officials have not released information about a suspect.
"On scene, officers located an adult female inside the residence suffering from stab wounds," a Chesterfield Police spokesperson wrote in an email. "She was transported to an area hospital where she died from her injuries. At this time, the victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin."
