Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond Police say they have identified the woman who died following the shooting outside of Westover Hills Elementary last Friday afternoon as Imani Hill.
The 26-year-old Richmonder was killed on Jahnke Road when, during an altercation with others, "a firearm was produced and shots were fired." Hill was transported to the hospital in a personal vehicle, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She succumbed to her injuries later that day. Another man was reported struck in the head with a gun.
Though investigation continues, a juvenile male has been charged malicious wounding, possession of a firearm by a juvenile and possession of a firearm on school grounds in connection to the shooting. Richmond Detectives say the school was not a target.
