Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Youngkin Administration is looking for election officers for the upcoming General Assembly election. The administration says 15,000 people are needed to staff the election. Officers need to be present at every polling location, and every early voting location, as long as they are open.
The Brennan Center for Justice says there is an election staffing issue nationwide. The Center says it has existed since 2020. Officials there blame it on the Covid pandemic, as well as threats of election violence.
Only qualified Virginia voters can serve in the post.
