Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Governor Glenn Youngkin (R), despite two defeats on the issue, is going to try a third time to get a gas tax suspension. The Governor is including the suspension in his budget amendments, along with a proposed felony for demonstrations outside Justices' homes.

The suspension would be on the state tax, and run from July through September. Democrats oppose and argue it won't impact prices but will impact the transportation fund. Democrats control the State Senate.

The new proposed felony comes as there have been protests outside Supreme Court Justices' homes ahead of the looming abortion decision. Three justices live in Virginia. The demonstrations would have to have the intent to intimidate to be considered a crime.
