Lynchburg, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Governor Glenn Yoiungkin unveiled his energy plan for Virginia during an appearance in Lynchburg Monday. Youngkin also used the appearance to criticize the Northam Administration's plan as inflexible and not achievable under current technology.
Youngkin is stressing an "all of the above" approach. He is especially talking about nuclear, raising the idea of small modular reactors to generate additional power. "All of the above" would continue carbon-based energy.
The Northam Administration plan focused on carbon reduction to fight climate change. Senator Scott Surovell (D-Fairfax) says Lego selected Virginia for its manufacturing plant because of its carbon goals.
