The Tara Show: Uvalde's answers only lead to more and more questions

Police Chief Pete Arredondo
Austin American-Statesman-USA TODAY

WORD's Tara Servatius believes the events surrounding the mass shooting in Ulvalde, Tex., at Robb Elementary School do not pass the smell test.

The host of The Tara Show played audio of Angeli Gomez's interview with CBS News. Gomez said she broke away from local police and U.S. Marshals to run into the school and retrieve her two children, with police on her tail to apprehend her rather than the active shooter, and said she was threatened by those same police to keep her from telling her story to the media.

"Nobody engages the shooter," Servatius said. "They're not interested in him. They're interested in her."

"At one point she's stopped and escorted back out of the school. They still don't go after the shooter. She can hear him shooting," Servatius continued. "Folks, something bad happened here."
