A powerful example of community support played out right here in Richmond.
Kitchen 33 donated more than 100 box lunches to TSA workers — many of whom have faced financial uncertainty while continuing to show up for their jobs.
Rich Herrera was there to cover the story, but like so many moments in Richmond, it quickly became more than that. He jumped in to help bus tables during the lunch rush, pitching in alongside staff to keep things moving as the restaurant balanced service and giving back.
It’s a reminder that real leadership doesn’t always come from headlines — sometimes it comes from action. And in this case, it came from a local business and a community willing to step up when it mattered most.
