Over eight seasons, "That '70s Show" turned out a lot of great episodes, mostly relying on the deft comedic acting of its stellar cast.
It was great TV while it was on, but it's perhaps even funnier in retrospect, after the careers of Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, and Topher Grace really took off.
Rewatch the show's highlights in the best episodes ever.
'Canadian Road Trip' (Season 3, Episode 23)
The internet pretty much agrees this is the best "That '70s Show" episode of all time. The plot is a quintessential Wisconsin dream -- driving across the border to Canada to buy beer -- but when the boys (plus Leo) try it, they end up in Mountie jail. It's hilarious down to the group rendition of "O Canada".
'Garage Sale' (Season 2, Episode 1)
The show started off its sophomore season strong with this classic '70s mix-up. Hyde bakes special brownies to sell at the Formans' garage sale, but Red, Kitty, Bob and Midge accidentally eat a few and get much looser than they planned. Red ends up selling the vista cruiser, forcing Eric to take his drugged up father to recover the car.
'A New Hope' (Season 1, Episode 20)
The show was at its best playing on '70s stereotypes, so it was inevitable that king geek Eric would wind up obsessed with "Star Wars", which premiered in 1977. When Eric's old nemesis returns to town and makes moves on Donna, the plot unfolds as a parody of the sci-fi classic, making it a fun rewatch for any "Star Wars" fan.
'The Velvet Rope' (Season 2, Episode 3)
Disco is dead, so it's funny to imagine the gang getting all worked up over the new disco club in a neighboring town. Neil Flynn, known for his role as the janitor on "Scrubs", plays a bouncer suspicious of the teens' style and worthiness of the club, so he stops them at the entrance until they can one-by-one argue their way in.
'That Wrestling Show' (Season 1, Episode 15)
Kitty forces Red and Eric to go to a wrestling show for some bonding time, leading to guest appearances by multiple semi-famous wrestlers. But the best part of the episode is the appearance of Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson, who plays his own father, famed wrestler Rocky Johnson. Funniest of all is to consider that The Rock was probably the most successful actor to come out of this whole show.
'Misty Mountain Hop' (Season 5, Episode 12)
One of the few later episodes to generate genuine laughs, "Misty Mountain Hop" sees the gang return to Jackie's family ski cabin. Kelso, Hyde and Fez, who sneak to the cabin first, redisover a long-lost stash, but their smoke session is interrupted when Eric, Donna and Jackie show up with Red and Kitty in tow. It's one last gilmour of joy before the show began its long descent toward cancellation two seasons later.
