Ramsey County Commissioner Garrison McMurtrey joins Sheletta today to talk about the upcoming elections and voter safety. Commissioner McMurtney speaks to the sanctity of the vote for so many in our community, the fears that some people may be experiencing around the polls as we navigate the aftermath of Operation Metro Surge and a few of the measures Ramsey County is taking to ensure voter safety.
In their second segment, Sheletta asks about the potential presence of Federal Election Monitors. Commissioner McMurtney talks about state law, their ongoing correspondence with the federal government and how they as a state government have taken collaborative steps to monitor the monitors and how this is a “solution looking for a problem.”
