The current congressional debate regarding whether illegal immigrants should be permitted to vote in American elections makes absolutely no sense. Do some individuals truly believe that a non-United States citizen possesses the right to participate in our elections? Clear laws are already established that prohibit non-citizens from voting, making this entire argument completely defy logic.
