Yesterday on Eric and Bob in the Morning, it was Dolly all day as we remembered the life and legacy of the country music legend, who died at 80. From “Jolene” and “9 to 5” to “I Will Always Love You,” Dolly left an enormous mark on music, movies and the lives of millions. Her impact went far beyond entertainment, including her incredible work with the Imagination Library, which has distributed hundreds of millions of free books to children.
We were also joined by Ray Benson of Asleep at the Wheel, who knew Dolly personally, recorded with her and even shared the screen with her. Plus, Jimmy Carter checked in with his own stories and memories of a woman he was close to.
