Unions are planning a May Day rally on Friday in Center City, and you can expect road closures at the height of the afternoon rush.
Roads on the north side of City Hall will be closed starting from around 3 p.m. and until 6 p.m. or so.
The AFL-CIO, which is organizing the rally, says it is standing up for a worker-centered vision of America. It said it is responding to the threats of the moment, including rising costs, attacks on immigrant and federal workers, and the erosion of hard-fought protections for health and safety.
