The Pentagon has come under scrutiny for testosterone and other substance use in the past, especially after a Navy SEAL recruit who had taken performance-enhancing drugs died in 2022.
Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has touted testosterone as a way to look younger, build muscle and stay mentally sharp — but those uses aren’t accepted by most medical experts.
