Juvenile charged with shooting teen in face at Ocean County Mall

Authorities in Ocean County say they've charged a juvenile suspect with attempted murder in a shooting this week in Toms River. It happened just after 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Ocean County Mall on Hooper Avenue. Prosecutors say the young suspect attempted to start an altercation with a 17-year-old male sitting in a common area. As he walked away from the teen, authorities say the suspect turned and fired several shots at the 17-year-old, then fled. One shot hit the victim in the face. The suspect is currently being held on attempted murder and gun charges.
