Abington Township police say they've arrested a man in connection with a shooting this week in Elkins Park.
It was around 8:15 Sunday night when authorities say a large group was gathered at a nearby basketball court behind the McKinley Firehouse on Cadwalder Avenue near Jenkintown Road.
Investigators say a man ran into the parking lot of the firehouse and fired multiple shots at a passing vehicle traveling northbound on Cadwalder Avenue.
One of the rounds hit a nearby home. No one was hurt.
Jamell Whitmore, 18, of King of Prussia, was taken into custody Thursday as he attempted to get into his home.
He was arraigned Friday morning with bail set at $500,000.
