It happened just before 1:30 p.m. on Monday along Chew Avenue and Washington Lane, near the Save A Lot grocery store. That's where police found a man shot several times throughout his body. He was rushed to a hospital, where he died. His identity has not yet been released. Homicide detectives are looking for witnesses and surveillance video and are continuing to investigate.
