Police have shot and killed an armed man near St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in the city's Hunting Park section.
Law enforcement sources tell KYW Newsradio that it happened around 10:30 today when police responded to reports of a man with a gun on Erie Avenue in front of the hospital.
