Less-boozy beer is becoming a big thing, and Pottstown's Sly Fox is in on the trend. It rolled out a line called Soul Tone — lower alcohol, same taste, the brewer promises.
There's a West Coast-style IPA and a German pilsner, both 2.5% ABV.
The head of Sly Fox told the Philadelphia Business Journal they are already on tap at McGillin's in Center City and some other bars and restaurants in the area.
Beer brewers have been under pressure from the rise in canned cocktails and seltzers, as well as a growing number of people drinking less alcohol — or none at all.
