A 16-year-old boy is recovering in the hospital after being shot twice in a North Philadelphia basement Saturday night.
Philadelphia Police Inspector DF Pace says officers arrived at the shooting scene at a house on Rockland Street near A Street in Feltonville around 10:15 p.m. The victim was taken to the hospital and placed in stable condition.
Pace says police believe the shooter is a 15-year-old boy who fled the scene. They also believe the victim was with a group of at least three other teens in the basement when the shooting happened.
One spent shell casing was found at the scene. Police have yet to recover the gun.
