The Brewers made a trade today, acquiring Lance McCullers from the Astros. McCullers hasn’t done much of anything in 5 years, but we’re sure he will become a great pitcher again because that’s how things work in Milwaukee. Poni had 3 names at the ready for the Pirates to target, all left-handed pitchers, heading into the trade deadline. The most attractive name was Robbie Ray, which could cost a pair of prospects, neither of which being in the MLB’s Top 100. Is it worth looking into Kyle Freeland, who has been horrible for the Rockies?
