The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a domestic dispute Friday night. TMZ reports that the unnamed woman claims that Brown "slapped" her and the hit caused her weave to come out. However, no injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made at this time.
A spokesperson for LAPD told Billboard that the incident is being investigated as a battery and will be referred to the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office; in a statement to NBC News, the City Attorney's Office said that the case had not been referred to them as of yet.
For nearly 15 years, the 32-year-old singer has been having trouble with the law, especially when it comes to violence towards women. In 2009, he was arrested for the assault on his then-girlfriend, Rihanna in which he plead guilty for felony assault. He also has a withstanding restraining order from ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran. In 2017, he was also named in a lawsuit where a woman claimed she was raped at a party held at his home. In 2019, he and two others were detained in Paris over aggravated rape and drug infractions after a woman filed a rape complaint against them.
