For the live round, the remaining 17 contestants, across the four coach’s teams (Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Nick Jonas and Shelton) took the stage to compete against one another. Viewers will vote overnight to save their favorite. It was a big performance with only the top nine contestants moving on.

Shelton’s team member Cam Anthony stole the show with his rendition of Hozier’s, “Take Me to Church,” prompting a huge compliment from his coach.

“I've never had more people asking me about an artist on my team in 20 seasons of doing this show, man,” Blake said. “You could be the first superstar that we launch off the show.”

While well-deserved, the compliment caught several viewers off guard who are fans of past contestants and believe they have mega careers as a result of the show. Blake’s Twitter feed is full of some push back from those fans, but what else is new?

The show is celebrating its 10th year and will reveal the top nine contestants of the 20th season tonight.

Blake took to Twitter to encourage viewers to vote telling them, “They were all incredible, pick your favorites and vote for ‘em. Favorites! I’m not sure how voting works because they won’t let me do it, but team Blake all the way. Vote for us more than you vote for the other teams. Love you.”
