NLS is a non-profit organization providing free legal services to low income Nevadans. This week, DJ CO1 had the opportunity to speak with Dawn Jensen about all their services! Check out the video!

Below is some info for Nevada Legal Services.

Clients must qualify:

  • Low-Income/U.S. Citizen, LPR, or other eligible category
  • Income limits vary for various programs but we have grants that allow us to assist individuals that might exceed our usual eligibility requirements

Only Civil Legal Services:

  • No Criminal
  • We do …housing/Consumer Issues/ Bankruptcy/Debt Relief/Public Benefits/Criminal Record Sealing/Limited Immigration/Name changes/Indian Law Project/Estate Planning/Pro Bono Program
  • Housing: Private Landlord-Tenant Issues/Mobile Home/Subsidized Housing/Eviction Sealing
  • TRC = Clinic for (unsubsidized) tenants, No appointment necessary, FREE but must qualify based on NLS requirements, First come-first serve, counselors CAN provide legal advice; Tenants only

  • Intakes are on a first-come, first-serve basis
  • Bring paperwork for intake


Case Acceptance Meeting - Advocate Follow up – Varying extent of services

NLS can accommodate requests for specialized trainings/classes/clinics to the pro se community, legal professionals or community providers

We frequently visit the rural communities in the Northern & Southern Nevada, including Mesquite, Pahrump, Laughlin, Tonopah, Caliente, and more.
