COVID is still outside and claiming lives, but yet there are several people against the government-enforced mandates and restrictions. Busta Rhymes can now be added to that list.

A now-viral clip with over 1.1M views of Busta has surfaced and the East Flatbush native is irate for all the wrong reasons. He exclaimed, "The last 15 f****** months, COVID can s*** a d***. All these little weird a** government policies and mandates, s*** a d***!"
He continued, "They tryna take our civil liberties away. It feels good to be back outside. We outside for real. It’s called the God given right of freedom, right? No human being supposed to tell you you can’t even breathe freely. F*** your mask."
He listed a slew of things you "can't do with a mask on" including eating and flirting. He boldly stated, "some of y’all might feel differently, but f*** your mask. I can’t rhyme with a mask on [...] we can’t even see each other’s smiles with a mask on. I come from a time when before I used to even wanna holler at a chick, I’d have to do s*** with my face to let her know I was into her. All of that energy gets blocked when your mask is on."
Towards the end, he apologized for "getting political." Fans, however, are not pleased. One wrote, "Ask yourself two things: 1.) Do I trust Busta Rhymes with MY health? 2.) Will 'energy' power that ventilator when my lungs are too inflamed for me to breathe?"
Political correspondent, Joy-Ann Reid fired back. "As an O.G. @BustaRhymes fan this is so disappointing. Black Americans are dying disproportionately from COVID. And they’re being bombarded with disinformation on social media and from influencers who are NOT DOCTORS OR SCIENTISTS." She, then, encouraged people to "get vaxxed" and "mask up."
