The busiest travel day of the year is this week with the Thanksgiving holiday. The roads are busy and the airports are packed.
If you’re headed to the airport, be aware that they are down a few parking spots at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. The Smart garage, closest to the airport terminal, is down 250 parking spots. Maintenance work that begin in September continues and the garage has about 4,420 spaces in it total. The airport is predicting more than a quarter-million passengers will pass through the airport during the 10-day Thanksgiving period.
The airport does offer some travel tips to help ease your travel anxiety. They say passengers should expect longer lines at the ticket counters and at the security checkpoints. Officials also encourage travelers to arrive at least 2 hours before scheduled departures to allow time for inclement weather, traffic, parking, checking-in and going through the checkpoints.
