CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – While Browns fans renew hope the team is in for a big turnaround in 2025, the NFL told everyone they aren’t holding their breath with the release of the season schedule.
The Browns have been scheduled for no primetime games in 2025, but that could change with flex scheduling should they surprise and exceed expectations by being a contender this fall.
They will kick the season off at home against the Bengals before traveling to Baltimore.
“Right out of the gate into the division versus the Bengals, then follow up with the Ravens the very next week,” head coach Kevin Stefanski said. “Those division games are always special because we know each other so well. Obviously, faces change over the course of these different times we go up against each other, but the core of who they are, the core of what we are, is the same, and it's always a battle. So, it’s fun getting the division right out of the gates.”
Outside of their October 5 trip to London to host the Vikings, a November 16 4:25 kickoff at home against the Ravens November 16 and a 4:05 kickoff at Las Vegas the following week, Cleveland will play 13 games at 1 p.m.
“That London experience is always really special, and I think our players and coaches will relish the opportunity to go put our game on display in a city like London,” Stefanski said. “It's a great opportunity to go up against a playoff team from last season. Coach [Kevin] O'Connell does an outstanding job with his team. So, we certainly know that this is going to be a really, really hard-fought contest. But it is exciting to do it on the world stage.”
As has been the custom in recent years, Week 18, a trip to Cincinnati to close out the season, will be scheduled in late December.
“You go into the season versus the division, and you go out of the season versus the division, getting ready for that second season that you earn through these tough, hard-fought games,” Stefanski said. “Those division games late in our calendar oftentimes include weather, and they'll be ugly and messy and windy and maybe snowy. But it's always fun to go up against your division.”
