CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Browns tight end David Njoku suffered burns to his face and arm in a household accident.
Njoku, 27, is expected to be okay but is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game with the Ravens.
The accident occurred at Njoku’s home while trying to light a fire pit.
“Thank you everyone for reaching out , but David njoku is ok, thank God.” Njoku’s agent Malki Kawa posted on X.
Njoku is third on the team in receptions through three games with 10 for 92 yards and has been a key blocker in the run game.
The team elevated tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden and quarterback P.J. Walker from the practice squad.
Starter Deshaun Watson, who was limited to light throwing all week in practice, is questionable with a right shoulder injury. Walker, who has started seven of 15 games in his career, would back up rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson if Watson is unavailable.
