Listen, a long distance relationship is hard. A long distance relationship during a PANDEMIC, is soul crushing. That's why five COVID tests, six days of quarantine, and multiple check-ins from the British government seemed like nothing if it meant I got to spend time with my boyfriend, David, for the first time in 8 months.

Before going to London, I had to have a negative COVID test within 48 hours of my fight. I also had to submit a locator form and quarantine until I did a test to release on day 5. The first six days consisted of COVID tests, movies, cooking, and even VIDEO GAMES! Yes, I played video games. The British government DID check in on me. I got about, six calls and two knocks on the door to make sure I was quarantining.

On day 5, we headed back to the Heathrow airport to do my test to release. Once that came back negative, we were allowed to go out and about! We went to Oxford Street, one of the biggest shopping streets in London, and I tried not to spend *too* much of my money. I did find a dress that was worn by TWO Real Housewives, and I almost cried.

And my favorite day, was spent at Tower Bridge. It's truly my favorite place in the whole world, and it was picture perfect. We took an Uber Boat, which was a great way to see all the sights without having to walk up and down London. We ate lunch, walked on the docks, and had lots of macarons.

This pandemic has been devastating for so many people, for such different reasons. I am blessed with good health, my job, my family, the list goes on and on... but not being physically able to see my best friend for the past year and a half has been so painful. I am so happy to see that the world is getting "back to normal," but my life is still far from "back to normal" until David can come to America again.

The moral of the story, love your people, enjoy every moment you have with them and don't take it for granted!
