After over a year of staying home and searching for super creative ways to entertain our families, we are tired! The last year certainly took it's toll on families, but especially note-worthy is the impact it had on women, with a whopping 2 million women leaving the workforce last year in part due to lay-offs and lack of childcare.

With more and more of us getting our vaccines and more families finding ways to navigate transitioning from a home office to a cubicle again, a lot of parents say right now, they just need much needed R&R - and they're willing to spend to get it.

A survey of over 3000 parents showed that some were willing to spend over $1000.oo to get away from it all. And in one state (our neighbor in fact), that amount clocked in at almost $2500 for one week away from the family. Our average in Ohio was $585 and some change.

The really good news is that once fully vaccinated, the CDC says travel is possible again and that we'll also be able to enjoy more activities that focus on more than yet another puzzle, board game or movie night in.

What about you? What would you spend for a week away right now?
