Platform Beer Company has closed here in Cleveland. Locks were put on the door and the hours scraped off at the Lorain Ave location and its sour facility and taproom on Sackett Avenue known as Phunkenship.

All local production has ceased, but they did announce that they plan to change focus from offering many beers at a time to just 3 India Pale Ales. They released a statement saying they will focus on Haze Jude IPA, Odd Future Imperial IPA and a new Canalway IPA.

Platform Beer Co. was founded by Paul Benner and Justin Carson in 2014 here in Cleveland. The company also opened tap houses in Columbus and Cincinnati which have since closed. In 2019, Anheuser-Busch purchased Platform Beer Company.
