The national average price for regular is up to four dollars and six cents a gallon, according to Triple-A. That's the highest in 14 years and just a nickel short of the all-time high of four-eleven a gallon, set in July of 2008.
Here in Ohio, gas prices have jumped 50 cents in a week. According to CNBC, the underlying cost of oil accounts for more than 50% of the cost of gas at the pump.
