The VMAs Artist of the Year list is stacked in 2020! From Lady Gaga to Megan Thee Stallion we'd happily hand out a moon person to any of these talents, but alas it will have to come down to just one artist.
With that in mind, we've put together a list of some of our favorite musical moments from DaBaby, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone and The Weeknd in order to make your decision just a little easier.
Run through this list, take copious notes and decide whether you love "Rain On Me" or "ROCKSTAR" more. Do you obsess over all things Posty, or maybe you're a true hottie and stan Megan Thee Stallion. Whoever you choose you can cast your vote for Artist of the Year right here. We know you'll make the right choice.
1.DaBaby
When featured on a track this North Carolina native is sure to send the song soaring on the charts. His own music, like songs such as "BOP" or "Suge," serve as modern rap mainstays. In 2019 he dropped two albums and in 2020 he debuted his third studio album BLAME IT ON BABY.
2.Justin Bieber
Whether we're dancing to "Yummy" or living for the "Stuck with U" Ariana Grande collaboration, Justin Bieber has been doing the most this year. Aside from the release of Changes, Bieber also debuted his new docuseries Facebook Watch streaming show, The Biebers, where he and his wife Hailey document their daily life with fans.
3.Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga has truly made it rain bops this year. Chromatica's fancifully delightful sound gave fans the dance music they were sorely craving from Mother Monster. From collaborations with Ariana Grande on "Rain On Me" to belting it out with greats such as Elton John on "Sine From Above," Gaga delivered us to a whole new world of music this year.
4.Megan Thee Stallion
If you're a hottie then you already know that Megan Thee Stallion puts in work. This rap queen not only gave us the Suga EP in 2020 but, she also bestowed upon us her newest single "Girls in the Hood" and dropped a fire remix of "Savage" featuring Queen Bey herself. "Classy, bougie, ratchet!"
5.Post Malone
You can truly never go wrong with Posty. Whether he's singing his heart out to songs off of Hollywood's Bleeding, releasing his own line of fancy rosé, or creating mask kits in efforts to help with COVID-19 relief, Post Malone is incredible.
6.The Weeknd
This year The Weeknd dropped After Hours, his first full-length album in two years and we ate it up. From the jam that is "Blinding Lights" to the title track "After Hours," we've had this album playing on repeat for months.
That's a lot to digest, but now the choice is yours. Vote for your favorite below, and see who wins on August 30 on MTV.
