After days of speculation, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have officially spoken out about the state of their marriage, confirming the rumors of divorce to be true with a "statement from the two of us.”
To no surprise TMZ originally dropped the news, that at the time was just speculation based on eagle-eyed fans spotting Joe’s absent wedding ring during a few recent The Tour shows. The speculations continued with rumors from sources claiming "Joe had his people contact and consult with at least 2 L.A. area divorce lawyers,” with intentions “to end his marriage to Sophie.”
TMZ then dropped additional details that claimed Joe and Sophie had been having "serious problems" over the last six months, however when Joe posted a wedding prominent caption-less pic on IG, many assumed the rumors to be untrue. Alas, just one day later, the two have sadly confirmed they are.
The joint statement each shared via their separate Instagram accounts readss "after four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
Jonas and Turner got married at a surprise Las Vegas ceremony in 2019. The two welcomed their first child together, daughter Willa in 2020. The pair had their second child in July of 2022.
