Well, the U.K.'s The Great British Bake Off has returned to your TV screens, and this season's first episode featured bakers taking on the task of creating edible busts of someone they consider a "hero."
Some of the people immortalized in spongey sweetness and icing were Dr. Who, Sir David Attenborough, Lupita Nyong’o, Louis Theroux, David Bowie, Bob Marley, Freddie Mercury, Miss Lou, Charles Darwin, Sir Chris Hoy, Marie Antoinette, Bill Bryson, and... Tom DeLonge from blink-182 and Angels & Airwaves.
Here's the original drawing of what the Delonge cake would look like... and it's terrifying.

Now, here's how contestant Dave from Hampshire's cake turned out. Better than we expected? Worse? Yes, both. This ‘Three Flavours of DeLonge’ cake consists of a strawberry and mint flavored cake with chocolate buttercream.

Fans of the band were quick to offer their own hot takes on the cake with some expressing that, of course we would get a monstrosity like this in 2020, and this one below that seems to think the end times are indeed nigh.

Although DeLonge has been missing from the blink-182 line up as of late, he's confident there will be an official reunion of all members at some point in the future.
In the meantime, watch an exclusive chat with Tom while under quarantine where he talks about UFO's (naturally) finishing up the latest Angel & Airwaves album, and discusses "the best record" of his life with RADIO.COM.
