ABC 7 reports that the new recycle program is a part of a partnership with TerraCycle that involves customers sending packets back through the mail so Taco Bell can reuse them.
Customers will sign up for a TerraCycle account and put all their packets into a recyclable box. Once boxed, customers can print a free shipping label from the TerraCycle website and ship it back via UPS.
Taco Bell is one of the first restaurants to partner with Terracycle, a company out of New Jersey that helps businesses become more environmentally friendly. The company has also worked with Procter & Gamble, Unilever, and Nestlé.
