Carrie Underwood was interviewed by CBS Sunday Morning and was asked what music has been on her playlist lately. “Depends on what I’m doing, depends on what mood I’m in,” she said.
When asked about the music she listens to while working out, Underwood offered the following response. "[While] working out I honestly listen to like, metal or super hard rock music.”
Yeah, cue the surprise face. When pressed on particular songs she digs, Underwood said she likes I Prevail. “Their Trauma album is one that I have on repeat when I'm working out," she said.
"There's a lot of not-children-friendly words on it," she added. "That's important to note. But I'm like, 'Don't go buy, you know, [my Christian record] My Savior and then go buy Trauma and be like, 'Carrie Underwood told me to.'"
It certainly marks a, well, different sound than what fans will find on her latest album My Savior.
Underwood recently released an album gospel of songs that she sang when she was a kid. "I grew up singing these in church," she recently explained. “My church that we go to right now, you know, they play a lot of very contemporary Christian songs, you know, praise and worship songs."
