The Rockets have agreed to a four-year, $53 million contract with free agent forward Dorian Finney-Smith, ESPN's Shams Charania reported Monday.
Finney-Smith shot a career-high 41 percent from 3-point range last season.
Charania also cited a stat that Finney-Smith held All-Star players to 47 percent effective shooting in halfcourt, which was among the best in the league. His game plays perfectly into both what the Rockets do well (defense) and what they've been lacking (shooting).
The Rockets are also bringing back center Clint Capela on a three-year, $21.5 million deal, according to Charania. Capela, 31, was traded from the Rockets to the Atlanta Hawks five years ago and he's been there ever since. But he spent his first six NBA seasons with Houston.
