Deshaun Watson on Texans' 1-6 start: 'S— sucks, honestly'

HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- Deshaun Watson recorded his fourth straight 300-plus pass yard game, and his second straight without an interception.

Watson completed 29-of-39 passes for 390 yards with two touchdowns and a 114.2 rating.

But the Texans struggled to score touchdowns in the red zone and finish drives in their 35-20 loss to the Packers on Sunday.

Though the offense showed flashes, it was inconsistent, as it has been throughout the season.

Defensively, the Packers took advantage of obvious mismatches. And the Texans losing top cornerback Bradley Roby meant Vernon Hargeaves, who the Packers sought out early in the game, became Houston's top corner with backups Phillip Gaines and Keion Crossen seeing significant snaps.

The Texans are now 1-6 headed into their bye week, which Watson said he will use to rest and decompress.

"S*** sucks, honestly," Watson said after the game. "This is new to me, so I'm going through it just like everyone else. This is my first time experiencing something like this, so I'm just learning on the fly, trying to stay positive, continue to lead the guys, continue to come to work each and every day and try to improve, and just trying to find ways to win, and just continue to play hard, do my job and not try to do too much and just kind of continue to do that.

"So, yeah, it's definitely new to me, and I'm just trying to find my way and continue to improve and have guys around me build me up, and I build them up, and we stick together as one."
