Texans rookie CB Kamari Lassiter returns to practice after missing two games with shoulder injury

After missing the Texans' last two games with a shoulder injury, rookie cornerback Kamari Lassiter returned to practice Wednesday in a limited capacity.

Lassiter, a second-round pick by the Texans this year, started the first five games of the season before missing the New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers road games with a shoulder injury.

Without Lassiter, the Texans have relied on veteran D'Angelo Ross to start in his place. But getting the rookie back, along with starting linebacker Henry To'oTo'o, who had been out with a concussion, was a welcomed site for head coach DeMeco Ryans.

"It feels good to get Henry and Kamari back out," Ryans said after Wednesday's practice. "Two guys who started for us, played a lot of ball for us. Made a lot of impact plays for us. So, it's encouraging any time you can get those guys back out on the field. So, good to get him back and we'll see day by day, see how they continue to progress and see if they can help us this week."

Lassiter has one interception, two tackles for loss and three passes defended this season.
