(SportsRadio 610) -- The NFL trade deadline passed Tuesday without the Texans trading top wide receiver Will Fuller.

Several teams showed interest in Fuller, who is playing in the fifth and final year of his rookie contract, with the Green Bay Packers among potential suitors.

But the two sides could not agree on trade value for Fuller, according to multiple reports.

Texans insider John McClain reports the team wanted a second-round pick for Fuller, and they hope to re-sign him.

The Texans were unlikely to accept anything less than a second-round pick for Fuller. They could receive as high as a compensatory third-round pick for Fuller if he signs a lucrative contract with another team after this season, though such a scenario is no guarantee.

Meanwhile, the Packers would like to provide quarterback Aaron Rodgers with more weapons aside from Davante Adams, and Fuller could have fit that roll.

The Texans and Packers ultimately could not agree on Fuller’s value in a trade. There was reportedly disagreement at the highest level of the Packers organization as to what they should invest in Fuller, especially if he’d only be there short term.

So the Texans (1-6) keep their No. 1 receiver, and the next general manager and head coach are likely to help decide his future with the team.
