Texans agree three-year deal with kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn: reports

For the second straight day, the Texans are bringing back another player on a three-year deal.

They agreed to terms with placekicker Ka'imi Fairbairn on a three-year, $15.9 million deal, KPRC2's Aaron Wilson reported. ESPN's D.J. Bien-Aime first reported the team re-signing Fairbairn.

Fairbairn, 30, first signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2016. Since then, he's totaled the second-most points in franchise history (731) behind kicker Kris Brown; posted the most accurate season in Texans history (96.4 percent) in 2023; set the franchise record for consecutive field goals made (20) in 2023; and owns the most 50-plus yard field goals made in Texans history (29).

Fairbairn's four-year, $17.65 million contract expired after the 2023 season, but bringing him back was a priority for Houston.

This deal comes on the heels of the Texans agreeing to a three-year, $36 million contract with $23.5 million guaranteed for tight end Dalton Schultz.
