(SportsRadio 610) -- The Texans have requested to interview Carolina Panthers first-year offensive coordinator Joe Brady, the NFL Network reported Monday.

Brady, 31, called plays for the Panthers in 2020 and was the passing coordinator for LSU's historically great championship offensive in 2019. He is widely regarded as a football protégé and credited for helping develop last year's No. 1 overall pick Joe Burrow.

The Texans on Tuesday acknowledged they met with Brady for an interview.

Brady is also fielding interview requests from the Los Angeles Chargers and Atlanta Falcons.

Brady previously worked as an offensive assistant for the New Orleans Saints under Sean Payton.

The Texans have already interviewed former Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis, former Indianapolis Colts and Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell and requested an interview with current Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus.
