BEREA, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – The Browns and Vikings are done with each other following Saturday’s preseason game that saw Minnesota win 27-12.

The loss doesn’t count but the Browns could be in trouble at tackle after their top three backups all suffered injuries.

Here’s some news from preseason game No. 2

Tackle emergency – Following Saturday’s game the Browns find themselves with a full-blown tackle emergency. James Hudson II started at right tackle and Germain Ifedi started at left tackle and the two would swap positions, but both left the game due to injuries. Hudson got shaken up and walked off with trainers late in the second quarter but the ankle injury caused him to leave the stadium in a walking boot. Ifedi suffered a hand injury in the third quarter and Hakeem Adeniji suffered a knee injury on the Tyler Huntley interception play, also in the third quarter. Adeniji was spotted on crutches after the game. Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski did not have injury updates for the three during his post-game presser.

QB3 – Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Tyler Huntley put up numbers Saturday and both quarterbacks threw costly red zone interceptions. DTR’s final line: 13 of 17 for 126 yards with an interception. Huntley: 14 of 20 for 135 yards and two interceptions. Thompson-Robinson, who started and played the first half, appears to have a leg up on Huntley.

Hopkins hurt – Some news came out after the game from Stefanski that kicker Dustin Hopkins is dealing with an injury but will be ready for Week 1. Cade York has been handling preseason kicking duties. York made a PAT and 33-yard field goal Saturday.

Get in there – Newly re-acquired center Nick Harris started Saturday. He was acquired last Sunday from the Seahawks after Luke Wypler was lost to a broken ankle.

Hall plays – Rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall, arrested and charged last week with domestic violence, did not start Saturday but he played against Minnesota after suffering a neck stinger during Wednesday’s practice. Hall assisted on a tackle and registered a QB hit.
